Production Operative
Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 DOE
Orion is partnered with a well-established metal fabrication business located in Dunstable which is recruiting for an proactive, hardworking Production Operative.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK long term without the need for sponsorship.
Production Operative Duties:
- Operating forklift in a manufacturing environment
- Operating fabrication tools and machinery such as Presses and Grinders
- Polishing aluminium metal products after its been fabricated by the welding team
- Supporting across the board in a metal fabrication workshop
- Supporting across multi-departmental team
- Loading product into vehicles on occasion
- Quality checking of products before they are loaded
Production Operative Required Experience:
- Up to date Forklift licence is beneficial
- Welding experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Fabrication workshop experience
- Experience operating press machines in a fabrication environment
- Experience operating grinders and polishing tools in a fabrication environment
- Organisational experience and a proactive attitude.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Quality checking
- Willingness to be flexible and support wherever needed on the shop floor
- Strong communication skills
