Are you an experienced Customer Service Advisor with the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills? Are you looking for a new challenge in order to develop your career? If so, we can help you!

We are working with a local council to recruit a proactive Customer Service Advisor based in Dunstable on a temporary basis.

You will have the exciting opportunity to develop your customer service and organisational skills by tackling several different tasks at once. You will be working as part of a team in a call centre environment, assisting the operational team to deliver a quality service to all residents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Respond to customer enquiries in a professional, courteous, and timely manner across multiple communication channels (telephone, email, face-to-face, web chat, social media).

  • Provide accurate advice and information on council services.

  • Resolve queries at first point of contact where possible or escalate to relevant departments when necessary.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of council services, procedures, and systems.

  • Accurately record all customer interactions in the council's CRM or case management systems.

  • Support vulnerable customers with empathy and understanding, signposting to appropriate support services.

  • Adhere to data protection and confidentiality guidelines.

The successful candidate MUST have IT skills, customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure. You must also have experience in working in a call centre environment.
