Location: Dunstable

Salary: £48,048 per year plus overtime at time and a half

Hours: 44 hours per week

Shifts: Rotating early and late shifts Monday to Friday with Saturdays as required

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to VOSA standards
  • Using computer aided diagnostics to identify and resolve faults
  • Working to manufacturer standards in a busy main dealer environment
  • Completing job cards and service records accurately
  • Supporting colleagues and mentoring apprentices when required

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician

Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Strong diagnostics and fault finding skills
  • Proven hands on HGV repair and service experience
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • HGV Class 1 licence
  • Main dealer experience
