We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to join dynamic team for our client based in Dunstable. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to apply their skills in a practical environment. Basic electrical knowledge desirable.

Shift pattern Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 06:30 - 16:00. Flexibility will be required at times if any major issues. But only occasionally.

41h per week

Overtime will be paid 1.5 hours from 44 hours upwards

Pay rate 14ph

Duties

  • Assist engineers in the development and design of mechanical systems and components.
  • Collaborate with team members to perform root cause analysis on system failures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, test results, and modifications.
  • Participate in system design reviews and contribute ideas for improvement.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in automated systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
