Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Field Service Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of security detection systems at client sites across the UK and internationally. The ideal candidate will be flexible, technically proficient, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain electrical and electronic detection equipment at client sites.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users.
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekend availability.
  • Travel internationally for project deployments and service support as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a field service engineering role, preferably within the security or electronics sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid UK driving license and passport.
  • Willingness to work weekends and travel abroad at short notice.

Desirable

  • Experience with X-ray, metal detection, or similar security screening equipment.
  • Electrical or electronic engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of networking and IT systems.
