MTrec’s Client Opportunity

Our client is an established and highly successful group based in Durham, with a growing national presence.

They are now looking for an experienced Marketing Manager, to work closely with one of their directors to develop and implement a new marketing function within the business. You will play a key role in developing the infrastructure, processes and overall marketing strategy and plans, to make a real meaningful and long-term impact in the business.

The role you will be doing

  • Support the director in developing the marketing function of the business.
  • Develop and optimise the group website.
  • Leading and managing daily operations of the Marketing Department.
  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns that drive engagement, leads, and customer loyalty.
  • Develop, refine and execute an annual marketing strategy including overseeing the evolving digital marketing strategy
  • Analyse, interpret, and report on the effectiveness of marketing activities to ensure continuous improvement
  • Elevate the company presence and reputation.
  • Craft compelling content across various formats including press releases, news articles, email campaigns, editorial pieces and brochures
  • Interpret technical data into clear, impactful marketing materials tailored to target audiences
  • Conduct competitor analysis to inform strategies and ensure competitive
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including external press contacts.
  • Oversee and drive engagement with the internal marketing platform to ensure effective internal communication
  • Negotiate contracts with stakeholders as needed, such as buying and selling advertisement space
  • Serve as the lead advocate for the company’s ambassador programme, driving community engagement initiatives
  • Travel throughout the region to their various sites.

About You

  • Previous marketing management experience, with the ability and clear track record to help develop a marketing function and implement strategy and plans.
  • Degree in marketing or equivalent would be advantageous
  • Excellent social media and copywriting skills.
  • Strong understanding of web content, SEO, and user experience.
  • Creative approach with the ability to work under pressure and to short timescales
  • Strong copy writing experience, with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Have a strong understanding of effective marketing communications using current and emerging technologies
  • Excellent commercial negotiation skills
  • Team player who can lead and inspire
  • In front of camera presentation skills
  • Experience of customer service tracking metrics
  • Video creation / presentation and some photography
