Job Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualifiedSenior Building Surveyorto join a growing team. This role involves working across various sectors, including education, health, heritage, commercial/industrial, hotel/sport/leisure, and residential. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site visits, building condition surveys, and preparing detailed reports, among other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits and undertake building condition surveys.

  • Carry out quinquennial inspections and produce comprehensive reports.

  • Prepare schedules of repairs and manage planning/listed building/building regulation applications.

  • Develop tender packages and oversee project tendering processes.

  • Attend client and stakeholder meetings, offering professional advice on technical matters.

  • Supervise construction and refurbishment works, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Work closely with clients, consultants, statutory bodies, and local authorities.

Essential Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying.

  • MRICS accreditationor commitment to achieving Chartership.

  • Proven experience in Building Surveying with a strong understanding of building construction.

  • Excellent knowledge ofHealth & Safety regulationsand compliance requirements.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage workloads efficiently.

  • Proficiency inRevit, AutoCAD, and InDesign.
