Are you organised, detail-oriented, and looking to make a real impact in the construction industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client, a leading player in the Construction sector, is on the lookout for a Construction Administrator to join their modern office in Durham.

Position Details:

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Annual Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
  • Working Pattern: Full Time
  • Hours: 8am-5:15pm Mon-Thurs; 8am-3:30pm Fri
  • Driving Required: Yes (due to limited public transport options)
  • Start date - ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient administrative support to our construction team.
  • Maintain meticulous organisation of project files and records - Document Control.
  • Facilitate communication with team members, hire companies, and management to consolidate and distribute information related to confidential projects.
  • Handle phone calls and requests professionally and promptly.
  • Execute data entry tasks and uphold accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain databases and complete purchase orders.
  • Ensure servicing and maintenance of lifting equipment/plant is booked and up to date.
  • Manage holiday requests for the construction team, ensuring all records are current.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in document control, hire desk or general construction administration is essential.
  • A flexible attitude towards work and a willingness to adapt.
  • Proficient in IT, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Minimum of GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
