Location: Durham

Salary: £48,500+ Annual Profit-Related Bonus

Job Description:

As an Electrical Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving manufacturing performance across a modern production facility. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you’ll ensure equipment reliability, perform proactive and reactive maintenance, and contribute to process optimisation projects.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment and control systems
  • Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborating with operators and engineering teams to achieve production targets
  • Ensuring compliance with all HSE and quality standards

Skills & Experience:

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship with ONC/HNC or equivalent
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Hands-on experience with motors, PLCs, and plant control systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Desirable:

  • Exposure to modern manufacturing techniques
  • Experience in a culture transitioning from reactive to proactive maintenance
  • Multi-skilled maintenance background
