Actio Engineering Recruitment are delighted to be assisting our Durham based precision engineering client with their search for a CNC Turner.

Our client require a time served and experienced engineer with experience programming setting and operating CNC lathes with Mazak controls.

The Job

The purpose of this role is to produce high quality turned parts working on Mazak controlled lathes on low volume billet work.

You will:

  • Program set and operate CNC Lathes with Mazak controls
  • Setting up tooling
  • Loading and unloading machines
  • Selecting correct tooling
  • Working with minimal supervision
  • Maintaining safe operation of machinery
  • Complete documentation and timesheets

About You

The ideal candidate will have the ability to program jobs on the machine using Mazatrol or Haas G code and canned programming. You will be able to work to tight tolerances and read engineering drawings.

Hours

We have two separate shifts patterns available:

Option 1 - Days - 7.45am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs and 7.45am – 12.45pm Friday

Option 2 – 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10.30pm Mon-Thurs alternating shifts.

      6am - 12pm and 12pm - 4pm Friday

Pay

Hourly rate up to £18hr (Negotiable) + 20% shift allowance

Overtime at time and a half
