Our client is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to lead and manage a small on-site Occupational Health (OH) service in the Durham area.

In this key role, you will be supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of staff and providing expert advice on occupational health and safety matters to ensure full legal and professional compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering proactive OH advice and support across the organisation

  • Promoting and maintaining health and wellbeing for all employees

  • Managing and overseeing OH assessments, case management, and health surveillance

  • Liaising with managers regarding absence management and return-to-work planning

  • Providing guidance on health-related policies and risk assessments

  • Line managing an Occupational Health Technician

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a relevant Occupational Health qualification (e.g., Diploma or Degree in OH)

  • Strong communication and case management skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and maintain a confidential and professional service
