Job Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Durham/Northeast region

Salary: 75,000/80,000 + Package (D.O.E)

Our client a large regional contractorare seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to cover new build commercial/industrial/logistics/healthcare schemes throughout the Northeast region.

Job Role:

  • Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility
  • Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and an achievable project timeframe
  • Negotiating labour contracts and schedules
  • Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes
  • Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs
  • Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment
  • Writing reports detailing costs and progress for clients
  • Mentoring Junior personnel within the commercial team

You must hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying and have a minumum 5 years work experience within the Construction Industry.
