Elvet Recruitment is working with a leader within the renewable energy supply market looking for a Bid Manager to join their team in the county of Durham area.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage team of bid writers (Currently two) allocating works, monitoring performance and increasing production whilst maintaining quality.
  • Review bids and answers before being submitted ensuring all key points etc are covered in depth
  • Responsible for writing bids and contribution to answers – hands on role  
  • Mentor bid writers and strive for continuous improvement through lessons learnt sessions, create training and feedback sessions to team
  • Submit monthly reports on team member performances weakness strengths etc
  • Conduct quarter one to one meetings with team members
  • The person will work closely with our Bid Co-ordinator to create project specific tender plans including check points, progress
  • Have a strong understanding of social value

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience within public sector procurement (Social housing, local Authority, capital works)
  • Knowledge on social value and how to get economically score well
  • Knowledge on frameworks and how they work 
  • Salary up to £60,000 DOE 
  • Office based (flexibility available)
