Senior Practitioner - Adolescent Safeguarding and Exploitation Team (ASET)

Job Overview:

The Senior Practitioner in ASET works with adolescents at risk of exploitation and abuse, including CSE, CCE, and modern slavery. You will manage complex cases, conduct risk assessments, develop safeguarding plans, and collaborate with other agencies to ensure young people's safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Oversee caseloads, develop care plans, and assess risks.

  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work with police, health services, education, and other agencies.

  • Direct Work with Adolescents: Build relationships, provide support, and help young people make informed decisions.

  • Risk Assessment: Regularly review and update safeguarding plans.

  • Court Support: Prepare reports and provide evidence for legal proceedings.

  • Supervision: Mentor junior staff and provide professional guidance.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Social Work Qualification (e.g., BA, MA, DipSW).

  • Social Work England Registration.

  • At least 2 years' experience in child protection or safeguarding.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding laws and procedures.
