This rewarding role focuses on supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure high-quality placements for children and young people.Key Responsibilities:Provide ongoing supervision, support, and guidance to foster carersUndertake regular visits, reviews, and assessments to ensure placement stability and child welfareDeliver training sessions and development opportunities to foster familiesWork collaboratively with other professionals in care planning and safeguarding processesRespond to placement issues, breakdowns, and provide crisis support where necessaryMaintain accurate records and reports in line with statutory requirementsContribute to panel reports and attend fostering panels when requiredRequirements:Qualified Social Worker (BA, MA, DipSW or equivalent)Social Work England registrationPrevious experience in fostering, LAC (Looked After Children), or permanence teamsStrong understanding of fostering regulations, National Minimum Standards, and statutory guidanceExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsEnhanced DBS checkWhy Join Randstad?Competitive rate of £28.96 per hourWeekly payroll and reliable paymentsAccess to a dedicated consultant for ongoing supportCPD and training opportunities£300 referral schemeAccess to exclusive roles across the North East
