Health & Safety Coordinator (Temporary Assignment)
Location: Duxford, Cambridge

Contract: 5 months, 20 hours per week
Pay Rate: 24.74 per hour
Reporting to: Site Health & Safety Manager
A leading composite manufacturing company is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator for a 5-month part-time assignment. This role is fully remote with flexible working hours and days. The successful candidate will be required to be on-site in Duxford for initial training purposes. The position involves managing health and safety processes using the Cority system and supporting risk assessments to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cority System Management
- Review and close hazards in the Cority system
- Conduct engagement reviews and manage associated documentation
- Oversee action management, ensuring timely completion and follow-up
- Review and post incident reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Collate end-of-month data for internal and external reporting
Risk Assessment
- Review and edit Task Risk Assessments (RA)
- Review and edit Ergonomic Risk Assessments (Ergo RA)
General Health & Safety Coordination
- Support the administration and continuous improvement of the site's Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Assist in the investigation and documentation of incidents and near misses
- Liaise with site teams to promote a positive safety culture and ensure best practices are followed
- Provide periodic safety communications and participate in safety meetings as required
- Maintain up-to-date records and documentation in line with company policy and legal requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a health and safety role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Proven experience with Cority System Management is essential
- NEBOSH (or equivalent) health and safety qualification required
- Strong understanding of risk assessment processes and incident management
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Desirable
- Previous experience in the aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing sector
- Experience with ergonomic risk assessments
