Salary: Up to £45,000 commission (£55,000OTE)

Subsidised Gym or Private medical (after qualifying period)

Working Hours: Full-time, (phone number removed)pm/Friday -3.00pm finish

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Senior Internal Recruitment & L&D Consultant to join our team. This is a dual role opportunity suited to someone who is passionate about recruitment, but also enjoys developing people, delivering training, and making a long-term impact on employee capability and performance.

About the Role

This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities across internal recruitment and learning & development. You will play a key role in attracting high-calibre recruitment professionals to Orion and in supporting their success and development from induction through to ongoing upskilling.

Key Responsibilities

 

Internal Recruitment:

  • Lead on sourcing and attracting top talent for our Reading and Aylesbury offices across all teams (Manufacturing, Engineering/Technical, Construction, Gas).
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from briefing and advertising through to interviewing and offer management.
  • Proactively source candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and headhunting methods.
  • Write compelling job adverts and screen all inbound applications.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews at all levels.
  • Liaise with hiring managers/internal stakeholders, providing consistent updates and candidate insights.
  • Ensure accurate candidate records are maintained via our CRM.
  • Travel tour Aylesbury site to meet with candidates and support hiring managers when necessary

Learning & Development:

  • Delivery of structured inductions for new starters across both offices.
  • Design and deliver engaging group training sessions to support skill development and commercial performance.
  • Identify learning needs in collaboration with line managers and adapt training accordingly.
  • Work with Consultants on a 1:1 basis to address skills gaps.
  • Updating the company-wide training tracker
  • Contribute to the development of a wider L&D framework, helping to shape our learning culture.
  • Support upskilling across all levels, from early-stage recruiters to more experienced consultants.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven background in recruitment (agency, internal, or talent acquisition).
  • Strong sourcing and headhunting experience, particularly on LinkedIn.
  • Passion for people development and prior experience delivering training or coaching.
  • A confident communicator able to engage individuals and groups effectively.
  • Organised, self-motivated and able to balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Professional and proactive approach to
  • Willingness to travel between our Reading and Aylesbury offices as needed.
