About the Role

A respected contract catering provider is seeking an experienced Part-Time Chef to support a well-established Assisted Living site in East Grinstead. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a warm, community-focused environment where high-quality, nutritious meals play an essential role in residents' well-being.



Key Responsibilities

As the site's Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking around 30 three-course lunches, pre-ordered by residents and their guests. Your key duties will include:

  • Creating meals with a strong emphasis on quality, flavour, and presentation.

  • Working closely with care staff to accommodate specific dietary needs and restrictions.

  • Upholding the highest hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.

  • Assisting with stock control and ordering, ensuring the kitchen remains well-supplied and organised.



About You

We're looking for someone with a strong culinary background and previous experience in similar roles-ideally within healthcare, assisted living, or hospitality. The successful candidate will have:

  • A genuine passion for food and dedication to delivering a great dining experience.

  • Solid knowledge of dietary needs and nutrition, particularly for older adults.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • A positive, approachable attitude and a team-focused mindset.
