Yard Supervisor Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee daily yard operations within a busy construction materials environment. Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage the team to ensure smooth and efficient order processing, stock management, and customer service.
Yard Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage yard staff to meet daily operational targets
- Ensure timely picking and accurate processing of all orders
- Maintain stock quality and manage stock counts
- Collaborate with other departments to support smooth workflows
- Adhere to and enforce Health & Safety and operational procedures
- Operate sideloader and counterbalance vehicles as needed
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
Yard Supervisor Skills and Experience:
- Experience in construction materials or related industries
- Strong leadership and delegation skills
- Excellent customer service focus
- Forklift (sideloader & counterbalance) operation experience
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Hands-on approach and willingness to be flexible
