Nights at our residential children's home in Eastbourne require calm and confident leadership. The young people here are vulnerable, with autism, ADHD, epilepsy, and severe learning disabilities. Many are non-verbal and rely on PECS, Makaton, or visual supports to communicate. They need careful supervision throughout the night, reassurance when unsettled, and safe responses if they present behaviours like spitting, biting, or self-harm. As Night Team Leader, you'll coordinate your team and ensure the home remains safe until morning.

What You'll Do:

Your role will balance supervision with hands-on care:

  • Lead night shifts and ensure safety and consistency.

  • Support children with epilepsy, autism, and severe learning disabilities.

  • Provide personal care during the night when needed.

  • Monitor and respond to epilepsy and self-harm risks.

  • Supervise and mentor night staff, offering reassurance and direction.

  • Record incidents and deliver clear handovers to day staff.

  • Drive young people in and out of the community when required.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for steady, experienced leaders:

  • Experience with autism, epilepsy, and communication needs.

  • Skilled in non-verbal communication and PBS strategies.

  • Training or willingness to train in self-harm and epilepsy response.

  • Calm and consistent under pressure.

  • Physically fit and reliable through the night.

  • Supportive and professional leader.

  • Must hold a full and clean UK driving licence.

Benefits Working at SuperCare:

We'll make sure you're supported in leading the team:

  • Salary 20% above average.

  • 36 days of training annually.

  • Fully funded Level 3 Diploma (if not already achieved).

  • Private healthcare and 24/7 GP access.

  • Gym stipend and wellbeing package.

  • Pension and bonus scheme.

  • Free parking and communal cars to transport young people in and out of the community.

  • Progression into Deputy Manager roles.
