Our client delivers expert electronic security services throughout the UK, covering CCTV, intruder alarm systems, access control, and intercom technology. As the business continues to expand, they’re seeking a proactive Installation Engineer Mate to assist their skilled engineers on a wide range of installations and projects.
Role Overview
This is a practical, hands-on position supporting the installation of electronic security systems. It offers a great pathway for individuals with experience in electrical work, cabling, or the security sector who are eager to build their expertise and advance toward becoming a fully qualified Installation Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead engineers with the installation of:
- CCTV systems (IP & analogue)
- Intruder alarms
- Access control and intercoms
- Assist with cable installation, equipment mounting, and material preparation as instructed.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to sites and ensure they are stored securely.
- Support testing and commissioning activities under guidance.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area while following all health and safety protocols.
- Offer general on-site assistance to the engineering team
Requirements
- Some experience of electrical work, cabling, or construction/site work.
- Good practical/DIY skills and willingness to learn.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards it).
- Flexibility to travel and occasionally work out of hours.
- ECS/CSCS card. (Desirable)
- Basic knowledge of electronic security or networking. (Desirable)
- Experience using hand and power tools. (Desirable)
