GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Graduate Teaching Assistant (GRAD TA) to join primary and secondary schools across Eastbourne. This is a perfect opportunity for those considering a future in teaching or educational psychology and want to gain hands-on classroom experience.
About the Role:
As a Graduate TA, you’ll work closely with teaching staff to support students both academically and emotionally. From delivering 1:1 support to assisting with group activities, you'll play a key role in building pupil confidence and helping them stay engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils, including those with SEN or EAL needs
- Assist in preparing and setting up classroom resources
- Support students during lessons and promote positive behaviour
- Help deliver interventions and targeted academic activities
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor pupil progress and development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
Job Requirements:
- A degree (any subject) – education or psychology-related fields are a bonus
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A genuine interest in working in schools and supporting learning
- Good communication skills, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
