About the Role:
We are seeking a kind, patient, and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support a young girl with learning disabilities in her daily life. This is a highly rewarding one-to-one role, ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in a child’s world through consistency, care, and compassion.
You’ll be working closely with her and her family in a home and community setting, helping her achieve personal goals, maintain routines, and engage in meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene and dressing, as needed

Support with feeding and meal preparation

Encourage participation in educational and social activities

Assist with mobility and general safety at home and in the community

Monitor her health and well-being, reporting any concerns to the family or supervising healthcare professional

Foster a supportive, structured, and fun environment to help build confidence and independence

Follow care plans and communication protocols as guided by the family and healthcare team
Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with children or individuals with learning disabilitiesÂ

A calm, patient, and empathetic nature

Excellent communication skills

Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently

Basic understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality

Willingness to learn and adapt to the young girl's specific needs and personality

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
