D&T Technician | Eastbourne | £24,000 - £26,000 | Full-Time | 37 hours | PermanentThis school is seeking a practical, organised, and enthusiastic Design and Technology Technician to support their busy secondary school workshop. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a background in carpentry, engineering and joinery who enjoys working with tools and materials.Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons.
  • Maintain and repair workshop machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Support teachers and students during practical activities and demonstrations.
  • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and well-stocked.
  • Assist with displays, stock control, and ordering supplies.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a workshop or technical environment (school experience desirable)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in carpentry/woodwork.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
