Job Title: Primary SEN TA – Autism/ADHD Support

Salary Range: £89 - £100 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education seeks a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism and ADHD in a nurturing primary school environment in Eastbourne. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with Autism and/or ADHD.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets and behaviour support plans.
- Use tailored strategies to manage behaviour and enhance focus and learning engagement.
- Assist pupils in developing social skills and emotional regulation techniques.
- Adapt classroom activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Encourage independence while ensuring pupils feel safe and supported.
Job Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD or other special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and emotional needs.
- Ability to work well within a team and take direction from teaching staff.
- A relevant qualification in childcare, support, or education is desirable.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
