A highly respected specialist school in Eastbourne is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their incredible team. This school supports young people with a range of complex additional needs - and they're looking for someone who brings patience, understanding, and a real commitment to helping every learner thrive.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils with diverse needs including autism, medical conditions, and learning difficulties
  • Assisting with personal care, therapy routines, and communication strategies (training provided)
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver consistent, high-quality support
  • Helping to create a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Using a variety of tools and strategies to support emotional regulation, independence, and wellbeing

Who We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs (education, care, or clinical settings)
  • HCAs, psychology graduates, and those with care or youth work backgrounds often thrive in this role
  • Calm under pressure, a great communicator, and genuinely passionate about making a difference
  • Able to commit to full-time hours during term time
  • Team player who's ready to get stuck in and learn on the job
