We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Eastbourne. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, working closely with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and social/emotional challenges.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEN

Implement tailored learning strategies and behaviour plans

Assist the class teacher with planning, adapting resources, and delivering activities

Help create a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment

Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

Experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting)

Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

Ability to follow guidance while using initiative when needed

Commitment to helping children thrive and achieve

DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
