We are searching for a Cover Supervisor to work on a day to day basis for children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). This fantastic opportunity is beneficial for you if you would like a job that will fit around your schdule and, also provide experience within an educational setting. As a Cover Supervisor you must be compassionate and, committed to teaching those with Autism, ADHD, speech, language and communication difficulties and / or social, emotional and mental health difficulties and, other complex needs.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervise and manage classes during teacher absences, ensuring students stay engaged and focused on the task that has been set.
  • Managing behaviour to create a productive learning enviroment.
  • Provide and offer guidance to students that need extra support with the task.
  • Adaptable to different classes and subjects.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of students and, report any concerns to leadership.

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to follow school policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and students.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to follow lesson plans effectively.
  • A proactive and, flexible approach to daily tasks.
  • Good standard of education GSCE C or above in English/Maths, ideally educated at a degree level.
  • Experience within SEN.
