Job Role: Leadership and Management Tutor
Location: Homebased with regular travel across East Sussex
Salary: 32,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Leadership and Management Tutor to deliver engaging and impactful Skills Bootcamps to adult learners across East Sussex. These short, intensive programmes help learners gain industry-relevant qualifications and progress into employment, with a guaranteed job interview upon completion.
Delivery will be primarily face-to-face (approx. 80%) with some online learning (20%), in small class sizes (maximum of 8 learners) over a 10-week period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver ILM-accredited Business and Management qualifications (Level 3).
- Facilitate high-quality, employer-responsive Skills Bootcamp training sessions.
- Deliver the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership & Management, covering:
- Managing Workplace Projects
- Leading Your Work Team
- Managing Yourself
- Management Communication
- Setting Team Objectives
- Developing Your Leadership Style
- Deliver business-related topics under the ILM Level 3 Award, including:
- Business Planning, Marketing, Market Research
- Bookkeeping and Financial Management
- Data Gathering and Interpretation
- Quality Management and Business Improvement Techniques
- Embed employability skills training, including CV writing, interview techniques, and soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Conduct learner assessments, devise tailored action plans, and track progress throughout the programme.
- Ensure all delivery meets internal quality assurance standards and external funding requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Employer Engagement staff to support employer involvement and secure guaranteed interviews for learners.
- Provide effective learner support, including regular reviews and pastoral care.
- Support learner recruitment by engaging with external stakeholders and promoting the programme locally.
- Maintain learner records and contribute to curriculum development and team meetings.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Essential:
- PGCE or Level 5 teaching qualification
- Relevant degree or subject-specific qualification
- Experience delivering Business or Project Management training (ideally ILM)
- Strong administrative, organisational and ICT skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and travel across East Sussex
- Enhanced DBS (provided by the organisation)
Desirable:
Knowledge of Skills Bootcamps, employability training, or government-funded provision
Experience embedding employability and career support into curriculum delivery
Previous experience in small-group adult learning environments
