EXTERNAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic external sales and business development person to join our dedicated team. We are looking to double the size of our business over the next 5 years and need an externally placed, skilled salesperson to help develop our existing client base along with identifying and onboarding new clients.
We are one of the south’s leading electrical wholesalers and distributors with a wide range of products and a geographically diverse customer base. With a heritage spanning 2 generations and 5 decades, we have a teams working in 2 locations, Southampton and High Wycombe, and have become a business synonymous with adding value through our core values of Creativity, Synergy and Excellence.
This role will involve travelling to customers across the South of England and can be based around either of our offices, or further afield, as long as visits to the office are achievable at least once a week.
You will be responsible for:
· Research and identify business opportunities - including growth areas, trends, partnerships, products and services.
· Seek out the appropriate contact/contacts in an organisation.
· Foster and develop relationships with customers’ contacts.
· Proactively schedule appointments and meet with customers/clients face to face to develop business!
A strong level of technical knowledge on the products we offer would be preferred,
Job Type: Full-time.
Location: Required to work in the Hampshire & Surrounding Areas, with our office located in Chandlers Ford.
(Applicants to reside within the Hampshire, Dorset & West Sussex area to be able to effectively cover the area.)
