Eastleigh, Hampshire

We’re working with a well-established engineering group that has built its reputation on delivering trusted pumping and fluid management solutions across the UK. With over 70 years of expertise, they provide critical support to construction, utilities, and environmental sectors — backed by a national team and technical know-how.

As part of their continued investment in workshop operations, they’re now looking to appoint a Workshop Electrician at their Hampshire facility.

This is a workshop position, ideal for someone looking to work in one fixed location without the need for call-outs or travel. You’ll play a key role in ensuring pumps, control panels, and electrical systems are fully compliant, tested, and ready for use in live site environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out pre- and post-hire electrical servicing, testing, and remedial repairs on pumps and control panels
  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems including DOL, inverter drives, and ultrasonic level sensors
  • Work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to deliver accurate fault finding and repairs
  • Ensure all work is compliant with IEE Wiring Regulations, Electrical Contracting standards, and construction industry protocols
  • Keep workshop practices tidy, efficient, and in line with safety and operational standards
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring stock levels and equipment are always ready for deployment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share best practice across the team
  • Support apprentice development and mentor newer team members where appropriate

The role is hands-on, methodical, and central to maintaining safety and service standards across the hire fleet.

You’ll work within a structured and safety-first environment, supporting both planned servicing and reactive repair work on a range of industrial pumping equipment.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • ECS Gold Card – Installation or Maintenance Electrician
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or Maintenance (including AM2)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (IEE)
  • Previous experience working as an industrial or commercial electrician — ideally within construction, utilities, or plant hire
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and electrical/mechanical components
  • Highly organised, with a methodical approach to inspection schedules and service checks
  • Able to balance daily priorities with urgent or emergency work as needed
  • Calm and customer-focused — able to handle challenges professionally and deliver reliable results
  • Willingness to support and develop others through knowledge sharing and hands-on guidance

If you’re a qualified electrician who enjoys workshop-based work with technical variety, ownership of tasks, and the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team — this is a great opportunity to join a company that values quality, consistency, and people development.
