Our client is looking for a reliable and forward-thinkingTechnical Engineerwith experience innew product development,value engineering, andcontinuous improvement. This role is needed due to sustained business growth and a sizable investment in the company.

The Role:

  • Drivenew product development, supplier engagement, material innovation, and process improvement.
  • Leadvalue engineeringinitiatives to enhance product functionality, reduce costs, and improve manufacturability without compromising quality.
  • Leadcross-functional project teamsto deliver development objectives on time and within scope.
  • Support ongoingcontinuous improvementacross materials, methods, and processes to optimise performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure all projects meetquality, health & safety, and environmental standards.
  • Validate products againstregulatory and international standardsfor compliance and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using engineering tools and assessments to verify the feasibility of new materials, processes, and products.
  • Support operations with theintroduction of new products and process changes, creating and maintaining key documentation

The Ideal Candidate:

  • An engineering or technical qualification
  • Experience in leading projects and taking full ownership from concept to completion
  • Excellent understanding ofvalue engineeringprinciples andcontinuous improvementmethodologies
  • Proficiency inComputer-Aided Design (CAD)software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical thinker and problem-solver
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
