Description
As the HR Manager you will be the first point of contact for the business, supporting the full employee life-cycle. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and strong generalist HR experience. This is a hands-on, varied role requiring a proactive, detail-oriented, and people-focused individual.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with leaders across the site, providing advice, support and guidance on a range of people related matters.
- Communicates and consult on all areas of HR including compensation, benefits, recruitment,
organisational development, employee relations, and performance management in alignment with processes. - Managing ER, handling complex issues in areas such as performance management, conduct, absenteeism, disciplinary procedures, and grievances.
- Coaching line leaders on HR and people related matters to improve management capability within the business.
- A strong understanding in Payroll with previous strong background in processing Time sheets via outsource payroll service
Profile
A successful HR Manager will:-
- Ideally be CIPD Level 5 (or above) qualified or equivalent
- Have experience of working in an autonomous HR Manager role
- Understanding of current UK employment legislation
- Experience of working within Manufacturing/FMCG
- Ideally have previous experience of working in a unionised environment
- Good stakeholder management skills
- A strong understanding of overseeing Payroll via outsource payroll service

Salary c45k - 55k (dependant on experience) + Benefits
This is a full time, permanent, site based role (near Ebbw Vale)
37 hours per week, with a 12pm finish on Fridays!
