We are seeking a dedicated Payroll and HR Administrator to join our dynamic UK HR team. This role is crucial for processing weekly and monthly payrolls and administering benefits to meet our business's contractual obligations. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive HR support to employees and managers, contributing significantly to our local business operations.
Day-to-day of the role:-
Payroll and Benefits Management:
- Process payroll accurately on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring timely availability of payslips.
- Handle variable payroll data, third-party payments, and maintain accurate payroll records for audit purposes.
- Administer pensions, benefits changes, and salary sacrifice schemes.
- Issue annual and ad hoc salary change letters and manage long service rewards.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation.

Starters, Leavers, and Changes:
- Manage onboarding processes for new hires and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
- Handle the administrative aspects of employee exits and changes, including issuing P45s and updating records.
- Support probation period processes and communicate outcomes.

Employee Records and Local Support:
- Maintain high-quality data in employee databases and personnel files.
- Act as the local HR point of contact, keeping employees informed and managing site notice boards.
- Support HR reporting and maintain HR administration documentation.

Project and Ad Hoc Support:
- Provide administrative support to company projects and HR initiatives.
- Assist in coordinating company events and manage specific benefit projects.
- Offer support during team absences and contribute to local recruitment and training initiatives.
- Proven experience in payroll processing is mandatory (experience with SAP is preferred).
- Familiarity with payroll, tax, national insurance, and pension legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of data protection and record-keeping.
- Excellent reporting and writing skills.
- Knowledge of employment law is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to travel to other sites quarterly.
