About the role
Vision for Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team of supply staff and work in a fantastic 3-19 special school in Ebbw Vale.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs. You’ll be working closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, and other complex needs.
The role will involve:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help them access the curriculum.

Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.

Encouraging independence and promoting emotional and social development.
About you
- To be successful as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (in a school, care, or community setting).
- A caring, patient, and resilient nature.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential).
