Job Title: Metal Toolmaker

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Metal Toolmaker to manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for metal component production. Must have hands-on toolmaking experience and knowledge of technical drawings, machining processes, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files for tool creation.
- Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
- Repair and modify existing tools to meet production requirements.
- Test and adjust tools to ensure compliance with tolerances.
- Collaborate with design engineers to improve tool designs and efficiency.
- Maintain tool records and ensure safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of toolmaking experience.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and using machine tools.
- Knowledge of metallurgy and heat treatment processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Trade qualification in Toolmaking or equivalent (e.g., Certificate III/IV in Engineering - Toolmaking).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
Salary & Hours:
- 35,000 per annum
- 1 Hour Lunch Break
- Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-6:00pm
