What You'll Do:

  • Lead Audits: Take ownership of audits for 15-20 entities, driving projects from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with FRS102 standards.
  • Prepare Financial Statements: Prepare statutory accounts, CT600s, personal tax returns, and more - your technical skills will shine here!
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff, helping to develop their skills while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
  • Innovate and Streamline: Leverage your knowledge of Sage and Xero to improve operations, enhance client service, and streamline processes.
Who You Are:
  • Qualified Professional: Whether you're ACA/ACCA qualified, QBE, or equivalent, you have a strong background in audit and accounts.
  • Natural Leader: You enjoy mentoring and supporting others while communicating effectively with colleagues and clients alike.
  • Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable using accounting software and always eager to embrace new technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Self-Motivated: You work well independently, making informed decisions with minimal supervision and taking initiative when necessary.
  • Audit-Ready: You're happy with a role split between Audit (50%) and Company Accounts/Tax (50%), ready to take the whole audit process from planning to fieldwork to completion.
  • Independent Worker: Comfortable carrying out audit work on your own, with no junior staff assistance, and confident in being the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Location-Ready: You live close to the office, ideally within walking distance, and are happy to be in the office five days a week.
