LGV Technician 
An established and well-regarded transport and logistics organisation is looking to appoint an experienced LGV Technician to join its depot operations team based in Scratchwood. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, modern workshop facilities, and consistent working hours for a skilled LGV Technician who takes pride in vehicle safety and compliance.

The LGV Technician will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest standards of roadworthiness, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, health and safety, and record keeping requirements.

The role of the LGV Technician will include@

  • Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on LGV and light commercial vehicles.
  • Complete diagnostics, inspections, and defect rectification in line with schedules and legislation.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT and present them for statutory testing.
  • Ensure full compliance with roadworthiness, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately complete job cards, inspection records, and statutory documentation.

The successful LGV Technician will have:

  • Relevant qualification in vehicle maintenance (City & Guilds Level 1, 2, or 3 or equivalent).
  • Proven hands-on experience maintaining and repairing LGV vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of commercial vehicle legislation and compliance standards.
  • Confident diagnostic and fault-finding capability with strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable team player with good communication skills and a flexible approach to work.
