We are an experienced firm of chartered accountants based in the heart of Edinburgh, but were not your average collar-and-tie people. While we pride ourselves on our high level of service and client retention, we are also driven in creating a fun and enjoyable work atmosphere. We're looking to add members to our busy accounts team and are happy to accommodate candidates ranging in experience, from new trainees (who we will support with an ACCA approved training package) to more experienced accountants who have worked in practice (and may or may not be qualified / part qualified).

Core responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
  • Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
  • Preparation of business tax and personal tax returns
  • Meeting client expectations in terms of accuracy and timescales for delivery of work
  • Being highly responsive to client needs

Skills/Qualifications:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree in accountancy or finance
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • A professional, respectful, and friendly manner
  • Ability to build and develop client relationships
  • Positive mindset / team spirit

What we Offer:

  • ACCA Training package (if required)
  • Flexible working subject to core hours (9am until 3pm Monday to Thursday, no core hours on a Friday)
  • 35 hour working week
