Accounts Payable Assistant

Reed Accountancy are working exclusively with an established organisation located in Edinburgh, seeking a temporary Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Finance team on a short-term, rolling temporary contract. With the potential to be taken on a permanent basis, this role will see the successful candidate supporting the day-to-day processes of the purchase ledger function.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Processing purchase invoices and credit notes daily
- Managing regular supplier payment runs
- Ensuring the correct details are applied to each invoice and PO
- Creating and maintaining supplier accounts
- Reconciling supplier accounts
- Managing supplier account queries
- Identifying and updating prepayments
- Analysing credit card statements and cash expenses
- Perform additional finance duties as and when required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in an accounts payable position
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good problem-solving skills
