A leading provider within the environmental engineering and water treatment sector is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing complex systems from mechanical completion through to full operational readiness, ensuring all technical, safety and contractual standards are met. This multifaceted, field-based role offers autonomy, progression and the chance to work within a large, established company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Commissioning Manager to deliver the full commissioning process safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.
- Coordinate and manage commissioning activities, ensuring equipment, resources and personnel are effectively allocated to meet project deadlines.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to control philosophies, risk assessments, commissioning plans and technical documentation.
- Conduct system tests, troubleshoot issues and analyse performance data to ensure operational excellence.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to support smooth project delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer within the water treatment industry.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage complex testing procedures.
- A customer-focused approach with strong communication abilities.
- Effective time management and a willingness to learn and develop.
- A full UK driving licence.
