We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Student Accommodation Manager to take the lead at a thriving student accommodation site in Edinburgh. Perfect for someone from a hospitality, property, or student living background, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership position where no two days are the same. You’ll manage a small on-site team, ensure high standards of service, and oversee both lettings and facilities operations—all while helping students feel at home.

As Student Accommodation Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of a modern student accommodation building, ensuring excellent service delivery, full occupancy, and safe, well-maintained facilities. You’ll lead a small on-site team, handle operational and maintenance functions, and build strong relationships with key partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate on-site teams to deliver excellent customer service

  • Manage student lettings: marketing, viewings, check-in/out, inspections, rent collection, tenancy agreements

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and data protection legislation

  • Handle complaints, welfare concerns, and communal area presentation

  • Drive revenue through re-lets, summer lets, and ancillary services

  • Oversee facilities operations including maintenance, cleaning, waste, security, and contractor management

  • Complete statutory inspections, reporting, and risk assessments

  • Manage defect resolution and minor works projects

  • Collaborate with local services and institutional partners

  • Ensure all SLAs and KPIs are met

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in student accommodation, hospitality, or similar property management

  • Facilities or operations management experience is advantageous

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Customer service-focused with a hands-on leadership style

  • Self-motivated, calm under pressure, and a team player
