People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Cafe Chef to join our well-established client based in a busy cafe environment in Edinburgh City Centre.

Day to Day Duties

As a Cafe Chef your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standards
• Cooking customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
• Participating in menu planning and development of daily specials
• Managing stock levels and preparing food orders from suppliers
• Opening the café in the morning and tidying/closing at end of day
• Ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to at all times

Essential Skills

As a Cafe Chef you will need the following:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen
• A passion for food and customer service
• Good communication skills and the ability to multi-task
• High standards of hygiene and attention to detail
• Organisational skills
• Reliability
• Self-motivated
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
• Team player
• Must be First Aid trained

Desirable Experience

• Working in a cafe or food service environment

Training

• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
