Assistant Civil Engineer

We’re working exclusively with a small but growing team based just outside Edinburgh, who are looking to bring on board an Assistant Civil Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate, or someone with up to a couple of years’ site or consultancy experience, who is keen to take the next step in their career.

You’ll be joining a supportive team led by experienced managers with strong consultancy backgrounds. With a busy project pipeline and recent growth, they’re looking for someone who can get involved in a wide range of tasks – making this an excellent chance to develop your skills in both design and project administration.

• Producing legal plans, land sale documents, and constraint drawings

• Supporting planning processes (planning checks, planning constraints)

• Preparing and managing reports (ecology, vendor packages, contract scopes, BoQs)

• Assisting with design work and CAD production

• Supporting senior engineers across a range of projects

• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (preferred, but not essential)

• Some experience in design, site, or consultancy would be beneficial – but graduates are welcome

• Strong CAD/design ability

• A valid driving licence (essential)

• A motivated, proactive individual who wants to learn and grow within a supportive team

• With a salary between £30,000 - £35,000 with flexibility depending on experience
