My client, an innovative UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Civil, Structural and Infrastructure Engineering, is searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join an established team of Engineers based in Edinburgh.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Hydrology or Hydroinformatics or Environmental Management and dissertation focused on Hydrology, SuDS Design or Flood Risk Assessments.

It is beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk, Hydraulic Modelling or Drainage or projects.

Candidates must live locally or be required to relocate to Edinburgh as you will be required in the office for training purposes.

This exciting Hydrology role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Residential, Commercial and Industrial Development Projects to complete Hydrological Assessments, Flood Risk Assessments, Hydraulic Modelling and Drainage Strategies.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Hydrological Assessments.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Drainage Strategy and detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.

-Drainage Area Planning.

-Civil Engineering design for Residential and Commercial Developments.

-Hydraulic Modelling.
