Are you an experienced Senior Geotechnical Consultant looking for your next career move?

An exciting opportunity has opened in Edinburgh with a growing and dynamic team of geotechnical specialists. We are looking for a motivated consultant who is ready to lead challenging ground investigation projects and contribute to the growth and development of the team.

As a Senior Geotechnical Consultant, you will play a key role in managing projects, mentoring junior team members, and delivering high-quality technical work across a variety of sectors.

The successful Senior Geotechnical Consultant will be involved in a wide range of geotechnical and infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Desk studies and site walkovers
  • Phase 1 and Phase 2 geotechnical site investigations
  • Borehole and trial pit logging
  • Soil and rock sampling
  • Preparation of interpretative reports
  • Geotechnical risk assessments
  • Designing and reviewing ground investigation works
  • Developing geotechnical models and providing design input
  • Supporting the delivery of remediation strategies where necessary

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong experience in geotechnical report writing (especially interpretative reports)
  • Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience
  • Based within commuting distance to the Edinburgh office
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
