This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, a well-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy looking to broaden their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in Scotland. Renowned for lending their expertise to an array of high-profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are seeking a driven, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design who is willing to take on a broad range of challenging projects, working with a newly-established team of design-based experts, based in the beautiful, historical Scottish Capital of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- Contributing to the design of an array of engineering developments
- Leading the day-to-day running of engineering projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues in their tasks
- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
- Preparing and checking technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
- Acting as a representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Status with a formally recognised Professional Body
- Demonstrable experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK-based consultancy
- Considerable experience of working with infrastructure (highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
- Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
- Proficient in the use of various software packages (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and similar)
- Demonstrable experience of writing and amending a variety of reports for submission
- Considerable experience of client and stakeholder liaison
- Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- Prior experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
- Some experience of preparing Transport Assessments
- Previous experience of leading projects/teams
- Experience of working in a public-facing role
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
