Contract Scotland is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded civil engineering contractor for an experienced Site Engineer to support a major airside infrastructure project.
Site Engineer – Airside Compound & Runway Works
Location: Airport site (airside access required)
Duration: May/June 2025 – March 2026
Hours: Full-time, 5 days/week (day and night shift options from Nov 2025)
Project Overview:

Phase 1 (June – September 2025):
-
Construction of a secure airside compound on disused airport land
-
Engineering duties across:
-
Earthworks and ground remediation
-
Drainage and utilities installation
-
Road and hardstand construction
-
Modular office installation and fencing
-

-
Phase 2 (November 2025 – March 2026):
-
Engineering support for a major runway rehabilitation programme

Site teams will operate both day and night shifts
-
Flexibility available for shift preference

Candidate Requirements:
-
Demonstrable experience on civil engineering projects, ideally within infrastructure or airside environments

Proficient in setting out, quality control, and site reporting
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
-
CSCS card essential; airside experience or relevant airport clearances advantageous
