Care Concern Group is looking for a reliable and skilled Peripatetic Maintenance professional to support our homes across Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Fife. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure our facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standard, providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

What We Offer

  • £15.00 per hour
  • Mileage allowance of 40p per mile for travel beyond your base home
  • Pension scheme, Paid PVG
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full-time contract)

What You Will DoYou will take responsibility for the upkeep of our care homes, from small repairs to larger projects, ensuring all spaces are functional, safe, and welcoming. You will carry out hands-on repairs, electrical inspections, installation of new equipment, routine maintenance tasks, and grounds upkeep. You will maintain tools and machinery, conduct safety checks including fire alarms, inspect building surfaces, and participate in renovation or improvement projects. You will work closely with facilities or maintenance managers to report and resolve larger issues, always adhering to high quality, health, and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proactive and detail-oriented with practical maintenance skills

  • Ability to work independently and travel between multiple care homes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to health and safety
