Senior Information Governance Specialist | 6-Month Contract | Inside IR35 | Hybrid | ASAP Start

Day Rate: 260

Main Duties

We are seeking a Senior Information Governance Specialist to support strategic digital initiatives across health and social care. You will provide expert leadership in Information Governance and Data Protection, ensuring compliance and secure data processing within complex programmes. Key responsibilities include advising on legislative requirements, conducting DPIAs, drafting governance documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to embed robust IG practices.

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Information Governance and Data Protection legislation
  • Strong background in DPIAs and governance documentation
  • Ability to analyse and present complex information to varied audiences
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior level
  • Knowledge of public sector compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborative working skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in cloud environments and technical solution delivery
  • Familiarity with NHS, health and social care systems
  • Understanding of GDPR and Scottish policy context
